I blink, and it's Friday. I blink again, and we're back to Monday. Sometimes I think I'll blink and wake up to the kids graduating high school.
Digging through photos to share on Friday always feels like a little trip through my weekly memory bank. All those minutes I swear I blinked right through are waiting for me to come back and retrieve them. The kids light up and point to all their favorite moments, and I get a kick out of watching them enjoy the record of their adventures.
Here's a few blinks from our past week. When you're done, head over to Jen McDonald Photography and take a peek into her memories, too.
On my counter, for almost a week now, these two flowers have bloomed above the revolving stream of dirty dishes. "Can we put these in water?" he asked. I told him sure, but that I didn't think they'd last very long. They're out to prove me wrong, and to continually remind me of sweet five year old boys.
If you ask, she'll tell you that T-Rex-saurus eats "veggles." Then you're supposed to pretend to toss meat at her, and she'll eat that up, too.
"Let your light shine."
What IS it about the appeal of juice boxes? We have some leftover from our recent trip and I'll be glad when they are gone - she likes to use them as squirt guns.
A quick batch of pancakes early in the morning seems to be the favorite way to quiet hungry little ones. A few minutes of silent eating follows, enough for me to grab coffee and pretend I'm actually awake.
We made our first trip of the year to the raspberry farm. Pick one for my bowl, then three for him to eat.
The sweet reward of all my hard work.
Don't forget to click on through to Jen McDonald Photography next! It looks like her family did a bit of berry picking this week, too.
