I am breaking the rules this week. Nevermind the fact that I make the rules, since it's my own project. I'm still breaking them. Shameful, right?
While pulling together 365 Degrees for this week, I picked two images to share from our afternoon at K-days, one of the many Edmonton events happening right now. I realized that I had shot a few photos this week that were almost identical to last week's, so why not switch it up? My project is indeed to shoot every single day, and I have been, but boring you with repeat photos is not on my agenda.
Grab a coffee, come on in, and enjoy some carnival games and a bit of greenery with me. Then head on over to Charming Hearts Photography and check out her week as well. Someone made her a pretty amazing flower bouquet!
Her brother got to play a game, and she wanted to as well. The best part of magnetic fishing was coming home with a small stuffed penguin in a purple coat.
The many carnival sights and sounds kept them looking everywhere, trying to decide where we should head next.
"The dinosaurs like you, Mom. You can pet this one. The one right on the end. No not that one, he might bite."
Some days all I can think about is how far from the house we can get, so we go adventuring. On this morning, we headed to the Devonian Botanic Garden. We spent an incredibly long time walking circles around the tropical areas, following our fearless leader, who can't yet read a map.
The kids planted bean seeds at one of the K-Days exhibits to take home. Even though we've planted our own garden and take care of it daily, she is fascinated by her little cup of sprouts.
And sure enough, day by day, they're getting bigger and reaching for the light.
Sometimes it's too quiet, and I'll go looking. I found him playing in the early morning light, so immersed in what he was doing that he didn't move while I went back downstairs for the camera.
