Telling a story doesn't always require faces or even people at all. Sometimes the details alone are enough to set the scene and bring back memories. Right now, I'm remembering how long it took me to get cornstarch out of every teensy tiny crevice in my kitchen.
My oldest has been asking to make the cornstarch and water mixture he saw on TV, and on this particular day I decided it would be a good way to pass the time. I do admit to regretting that decision about halfway through when everything got dumped. Holding the camera meant I was powerless to stop the creeping of the mixture off the table and onto the floor. I think we met our quota of messy fun for at least the rest of this
week month .
