Ingredients for a stunning river valley photo shoot:
1 part Rundle Park
1 part gorgeous morning light
1 part Edmonton photographer, possibly rolling in the snow
2 parts sweet fluffy dog
and, most importantly, 3 parts fun and happy family, willing to laugh and have fun with me
Mix well, and serve slightly chilled.
Two weeks ago, I spent a morning with the W family, trekking through the trees of Rundle Park in the early morning light. As we hiked along the trail, tucked away from the wind, we chatted of everything from where we grew up to our favorite camping spots. They laughed and talked and pulled their sweet girly along in her toboggan while I rolled around in the snow with my camera and got my pants wet. (I may not have looked super glamorous afterward, but it was so worth it.)
The company was fun and lovely and the images are beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better river valley photo shoot, could you?
